Safety Education Programme
At Centralines, the safety of our communities is paramount. Centralines offers a specific safety programme designed to target school children and give them key messages about staying safe around electricity.
Centralines School Programme
A free school-based programme for children aged five to twelve years of age.
Indoor session
Our programme coordinators take students through a fun and informative, visual presentation covering the following key topics:
- Identifying electricity in the home, classroom and community
- Understanding how electricity is made
- Developing skills to keep ourselves, and our friends and family safe around electricity
- Identifying Centralines' electrical assets out in the community
Outdoor session
Delivered by one of our faultmen, students are given the opportunity to get an up close look at the safety gear and equipment they use while working around electricity, along with examples of things that have been damaged by electricity.
