Utility Worker / Digger Operator

Centralines is seeking applications for an experienced Utility Worker / Digger Operator to join our team.

Applicant requirements are:

  • Full and clean Drivers Licence including heavy vehicles and track
  • STMS Traffic Management licence – desirable
  • Civil work experience in construction of utility assets
  • To undertake all work in a safe manner and follow all company

    and workplace health and safety procedures.

  • Physically fit

Foreman Line Mechanic
An opportunity exists at Centralines for a Foreman -  Line Mechanic to join our team.

The role of the Foreman is to lead a dedicated work crew responsible for the construction and maintenance of both overhead lines and underground cables.

If safety is your top priority, working with people is your passion, and you have a background in supervising line construction activities in the electrical industry, then Centralines is keen to hear from you.

Applicants must be physically fit with no colour blindness. Have completed minimum 5 years relevant distribution industry experience. Ideally G&B registered although training may be available to the successful applicant.

Registered Line Mechanic
An opportunity exists at Centralines for a Registered Line Mechanic to join our team based in Waipukurau, Central Hawkes Bay. NZ

Applicants must have an appropriate qualification from the New Zealand Electrical or Telecommunications Industry (or overseas equivalent)
The applicant must be able to gain a current practicing license with EWRB and have at least three years industry experience working with 11kV/400v distribution overhead and underground assets.

Hold a drivers’ license as a minimum, with a clean record. Class 2 & 3 would be advantageous; however, training opportunities would exist for the right candidate.

This permanent position includes a 40 hour week, competitive wage band $32 - $34 NZD, Iphone, modern office and fleet, staff benefits, wellness, health insurance and a family environment.

Trainee Line Mechanic

An opportunity exists at Centralines for a Trainee Line Mechanic to join our team.

As a Trainee Line Mechanic you will be an important part or our team. You will undertake a structured career pathway with full support. You will be taught how to be able to install new equipment and services on both overhead and underground systems. To assist Line Mechanics to repair and restore fault damaged lines, cables and equipment.

Minimum requirement four years secondary school with NCEA passes in Maths and English.

Vegetation Controller

An opportunity exists at Centralines for a Vegetation Controller to join our team.

The applicants’ role is to safely and efficiently undertake tree trimming and felling of vegetation inside and adjacent to the Centralines electricity network corridor.  If you’re a qualified Arborist, with a close worker certification, hold a full and clean drivers licence (Class 2 preferred) and enjoy working in a small team then this is the role for you.

Field Inspections Surveyor

An opportunity exists at Centralines for a Field Inspections Surveyor to join our team.

The role of the Field Inspections Surveyor is to make field condition assessments, in the prescribed formats, of the serviceability condition of the reticulation assets of Centralines’ Network for the purpose of life cycle management of the network.
