Reprioritising work during COVID-19

With much of the community now based from home – and more reliant on the continuity of power – we are only carrying out work that is essential in ensuring the reliability of our network, and the safety of our community.

We have therefore reprioritised our work. If you have been notified that your property will be affected by a planned shutdown, please check the details under the ‘scheduled’ tab. We will do our very best to minimise the impact on your power supply while any essential work is completed. No power or hot water?

Before contacting us, there are a few simple checks you can perform, to find out whether the problem is on our network, or in your home.

  1. Check the main switch is on at your switchboard
    If a fuse is blown, the problem is likely in your home and you may require a call out from an electrician.
  2. Check if your neighbours have power
    If a number of houses in your area are without power or hot water, it is likely the outage is linked to a problem on our network.
  3. Check our list of current outages
    See if we have listed a scheduled or unscheduled outage in your area. 
Report an outage

If you are experiencing no power or wish to report an emergency fault, such as fallen live lines, a motor accident or have heard a large bang, please call us immediately on 0800 NO POWER (0800 667 693).
