Central Hawke’s Bay Consumers Power Trust Appoints New Trustee

The Central Hawke’s Bay Consumers Power Trust (the Trust) is pleased to announce the appointment of Callum Gray as a new Trustee.

Trust Chair Karen Middelberg said, “We are delighted to welcome Mr Gray back to the Trust. His deep roots in the community, combined with his extensive experience and genuine commitment to service, make him an excellent addition. We are confident that his passion and perspective will help the Trust continue to serve the best interests of our consumers.”

Mr Gray brings a strong background in community involvement and governance. He is a fifth-generation farmer on his family’s property near Ongaonga and is well-known in the Central Hawke’s Bay community. His voluntary service includes roles with the Ongaonga Fire Brigade, Cycling CHB committee, and the Tikokino School Board.

"I am honoured to re-join the Central Hawke's Bay Consumers Power Trust as a Trustee. I look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of the district, ensuring that we serve our community with dedication and integrity," said Mr Gray.

This appointment marks Mr Gray’s return to the Trust, having previously served as a Trustee from March 2020 - October 2024. He is a firm believer in the importance of reliable, affordable electricity and is committed to upholding the principles of the Trust on behalf of all shareholders.

Mr Gray was the obvious candidate for the position, having run for election to the Trust in 2024, demonstrating his continued dedication and commitment to the Trust's purpose.

Mr Gray will take up the position effective immediately.
