As the sole shareholder, the Trust appoints the Directors of Centralines to operate the Company in the interests of consumers.

The current directors are: Chairman James Aitken, John Loughlin, Josie Willis and Sam Robinson.
The Board of Directors set the strategic direction, goals and policy for the operation of the company. The day-to-day operation of Centralines is the responsibility of Unison Area Manager Brad Thomas who relies on the support of his experienced team of technical staff and specialist trades people.

James Aitken
Chairman

James was appointed a Director and Chairman in 2000. A farmer at Omakere he wants to serve the community to ensure the Centralines remains a strategic asset for the district's consumers. As chairman, he aims to continue improving the Company's performance, increase business activities and enhance working conditions.

John Loughlin

John is a professional company director who is also serving on the Boards of Zespri Ltd, Port of Napier, Tru-test Corporation, Metlifecare, Allied Farmers Ltd, Allied Nationwide Finance Ltd, Metlifecare Ltd, Taupo Motorsport Park Ltd, Kermadec Property Fund, Firstlight Foods and AgResearch Ltd.  John is a former Chief Executive of Richmond Limited.  In addition, John and his wife are the owners of Askerne Winery. John brings strong finance, risk management and general management skills to the Board. He has a strong multi-disciplinary academic background. John was appointed as a director in 2004.

Josie Willis

Josie is a qualified accountant who farms at Porangahau in partnership with her husband, Donald. She previously served on the Central Hawkes Bay Power Consumers Trust as the appointee of CHB District Council. Josie brings financial and analytical skills to the board. Josie was appointed as a director in 2006.

Sam Robinson

Sam was appointed as a director to Centralines in 2006. Sam has a hill country farm on the periphery of Centralines Network and holds directorships at Port of Napier, PSIS and AsureQuality. Sam was recently awarded the Bledisloe Medal from Lincoln University for advancing the interests of New Zealand.
