Centralines Announces $1.352 Million Discount for Customers

Central Hawke’s Bay consumer-owned lines company, Centralines has this week announced a $1.352 million discount, which will be split between its 8,042 customers.

Central Hawke’s Bay Consumers Power Trust Chairman, Alistair Setter said, “The Trust is very happy with the performance of the Board and management of Centralines. As a result of the Company’s strong financial performance, customers can continue to share in the Company’s success.”

Centralines Chairman, Jon Nichols, said customers should keep an eye on their June and July power bills to check they have received the discount.

“Centralines is committed to powering a vibrant Central Hawke’s Bay. We do this through delivering a high-quality, reliable electricity supply, sponsoring a number of community services, providing employment opportunities and through this discount.

“The payment will appear as a one-off Centralines credit on each customers’ power bill, which is issued by their electricity retailer,” said Mr Nichols.

To receive the discount customers must have been connected to Centralines Network as at 5.00 pm 31 May 2017.

The amount varies depending on how much electricity customers have used over the past 12 months and how many installation control points (ICPs) they have. However, a residential electricity customer will receive on average $120 per ICP.

Customers with questions about their discount, or if they haven’t received it by the end of July, should contact their electricity retailer in the first instance.
