Central Hawke's Bay Consumers Power Trust - Notice of Election, Nomination of Candidates and Closing date for Nominations

The Central Hawkes Bay Consumers Power Trust (The Trust) is required to hold the shares of the CHB Power Holdings Ltd (the Company) for the benefit of all consumers.

The Trust appoint the Directors of the Company, and in conjunction with the Board of Directors, conduct reviews of the company’s performance and the consumer trust shareholding agreement.

The Trust is governed by seven Trustees’. Currently, four are elected and three are appointed by the highest electricity consumer, the mayor and the local council. Due to an approved variation to the Trust Deed by the High Court, all seven Trustee positions will now be elected by CHB power consumers.

Nominations are now being called for seven (7) Trustee positions on the Central Hawkes Bay Consumers Power Trust. Nominations open on Thursday 1 July 2021. All nominations must be made on the official nomination paper and be in my hands no later than 5pm on Monday 2 August 2021.

If an election is required, all power consumers in Central Hawkes Bay are eligible to vote by either post or internet. Voter packs will be sent to all consumers on 7 September 2021. Each consumer is entitled to one vote per power connection, with a maximum of three votes for consumers with multiple connections.
